Dr. Dongning Liu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor who previously served as the Associate Dean of the Graduate School. He currently holds the positions of Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office at Guangdong University of Technology and Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science. He is a Distinguished Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), Standing Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Collaborative Computing, Executive Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Internet of Things, and Executive Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Education. Additionally, he is an IEEE Senior Member and a Technical Committee Member of the IEEE TC on Distributed Intelligent Systems, as well as an Associate Editor of the IEEE SMC Magazine. In Guangdong Province, he serves as the Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Guangdong Computer Society.
He serves as an evaluation expert for the “Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award.” Leveraging major platforms such as the National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Integrated Technology of Cyber-Physical Systems for Intelligent Manufacturing and the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Cyber-Physical Systems, he has led multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan, and Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan. His accolades include the First Prize of the 2021 Guangdong Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, the Second Prize of the 2019 Guangdong Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, and the Second Prize of the 2019 Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award.
Yang Zhenguo, Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the School of Computer Science, Guangdong University of Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). His research focuses on multimodal (text, image, video, etc.) data fusion and public opinion mining. He was honored as “Outstanding Graduate Supervisor of Guangdong University of Technology in 2023.”
With over 50 papers published in CCF-recommended conferences/SCI-indexed journals—including IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TMM, ACM TOMM, ACM TOIT, IEEE TCSS, ACM MM, ACM SIGIR, IEEE ICME, and ACM ICMR—he has led two national-level and six provincial/ministerial-level research projects. These include the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program, NSFC Youth Program, and Guangdong Provincial General Program. He has also participated in multiple major initiatives, such as the NSFC Key Research Program and Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) projects.
As an active academic contributor, he serves as a Program Committee Member for prestigious international conferences (e.g., KDD, ACM MM, AAAI, IJCAI, IEEE ICME, ACM WSDM) and as a reviewer for journals including IEEE TMM, ACM TOMM, IEEE TDSC, IEEE TFS, IEEE TAI, and VLDB Journal.
